Bitnob is a crypto bank mobile bank helping everyone realise the true value for their money by driving saving culture and crypto adoption across young and middle aged demographics. I led the design team and was responsible for revamping the mobile app to help its UX maintain its core solution components while obeying changing government policies in the financial space. The goal was to help people achieve day to day utility with bitcoin, and the solution components was robust. It means we design an app that did everything a conventional banking app can do then add so much more bitcoin powered features to it.
The biggest challenge was streamlining the onramp and offramp for crypto to fiat transactions. We had to design in such a way that we adhere to government policies, maintain usability and familiarity on how things work for financial money transfers on the user interface and overhaul the backend logic via continous integration and continous development (CI/CD) practices.
During my time here, I worked a lot with the growth and the customer support teams, because talking to customers helped me understand their pain points with extreme clarity, make design decisions for my team, create documented justifications for the stakeholders to approve changes to solution components that takes everyone a step closer to the targets we were trying to reach. Leading the design team at Bitnob, tested my ability wear many hats, be accountable and responsible for others, collobarate towards common objectives and adapt to a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
