FMDQ is Private Securities Exchange, I was very curious to know what a product designer can do for such a business and I am very happy to have found out, as the stack of projects listed here was a great test of my knowledge of the finacial market. The first project; RLT - Revenue Line Tracker, was a project I pioneered in the company, and I was tasked with building a dashboard to help track revenue streams. This means looking data, a lot of data, reading lenghty documentation and attending stakeholder meetings to properly inform my design decisions and understand how best to optimise the status quo.
The next project; iAuth - SSO; Single Sign On solution to grant staff, regulators and other institutions easy and secure access to all legacy software in FMDQ. Having set up a Design System prior helped me spend more time learning about all solutions to be bundled into one super launcher, I took cues from the industry standard and documented change requests and used pain points from the previous attempts to build the solution to inform my own design decisions.
The above project; FMRR - Financial Market Rules Repository, just as the name implies is a repository of documents containing rules and regulation for the local financial market. Unlike the RLT, this was not an internal tool. I had to design for different user personas while ensuring I adhere to the solution specifications. Accross all projects, my ability to understand complex and foreign terms and turn it into simple interfaces was tested.
